DAC App 8.0

The Digital Audio Capture (DAC) app is a free tool developed by College Board and ETS for the purpose of capturing students' audio responses during the AP Music Theory Exam and AP Language and Culture Exams for French, German, Italian, and Spanish. It aims to streamline the recording process while utilizing contemporary technology that is familiar to most students. Additionally, post-exam tasks for school staff are simplified through the direct upload of student audio files. Schools are instructed to refer to the 2023-24 AP Exam Instructions book for guidance on administering exams using the DAC app.

It is important to note that the DAC app is designed to operate exclusively on school-owned and -controlled iPad tablets running iOS 13.0 or above. Schools are required to update to the 2024 version of the DAC app, as earlier versions will be incompatible with the 2024 exams.
